** The Data Analyst Training Accelerator (DATA) is a full-time, no cost, 19-week, remote data analysis training program. Offered in partnership with Fullstack Academy, this program is designed to create an accessible pathway for New Yorkers interested in launching careers in marketing and data analytics with target salaries of $55,000 or more. The industry-informed training program includes a project-based curriculum that will provide participants with in-demand skills in advanced Excel, SQL, Python, AWS, and digital marketing-related analytics, as well as career advancement and interview skills.
Participants will receive support that includes but is not limited to:
** Workshops to help you get back into a learning and growth mindset as you transition back to being a student
** Training in Microsoft Excel, Presentations, Python, SQL, AWS, and Tableau
** Career coaching throughout training, and lectures and workshops that address the unique challenges faced by underrepresented populations in tech and those without prior tech experience
DATA Program Eligibility and Dates
Eligibility Criteria :
This no-cost career training is an opportunity offered by the City of New York. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
** Be at least 18 years of age
** Be a current New York City resident
** Be authorized to work in the United States
** Be unemployed, or earn $45,000 or less if currently employed
** Meet all selective service requirements
** Have no paid professional data or marketing analyst experience
** Be available for all sessions of the course through the duration of the program
Special Notes :
** Classes are held live online.
** All New Yorkers may apply.
** Black and Latinx New Yorkers are strongly encouraged to apply.
** An advanced degree is not necessary to succeed in this training. New Yorkers with a high school degree or equivalency, associate degree, or some college experience are encouraged to apply.
** Eligibility does not guarantee acceptance; all interested candidates must complete and be selected via a competitive application process.
Daily Life as a DATA Student
Full-time Schedule :
The program will consist of Monday through Friday instruction that includes a total of 6 hours of content and workshops + 2 hours of break/individual learning time.
Morning session :
** 60 minutes: welcome and content read
** 60 minutes: lecture and demo lessons
** 30 minutes: work on challenges
** 30 minutes: walkthrough challenge solutions and wrap up
Break :
60 mins
Afternoon session :
** 60 minutes: recap and content read
** 60 minutes: lecture and demo lessons
** 30 minutes: work on challenges
** 30 minutes: walk through challenge solutions and wrap up
** 60 minutes: independent learning and office hours
** Optional office hours for additional support.
Certifications
** As a part of the DATA program, students will be prepared to earn the most in-demand industry certifications.
** Taking these certifications is optional but highly recommended for career success. Students can choose to take certification exams during or directly after the program.
