What is NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest?

NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest is an initiative of Registry Services, LLC, the registry services provider of the .nyc top level domain, (“Sponsor”) designed to showcase websites in the .nyc top level domain. Winners will be promoted through campaigns and initiatives of the .nyc TLD. Sponsor is the sole operator of this Contest, is responsible for all judging decisions and fulfillment of all prizes. For clarity, the City of New York is not a sponsor of the Contest, is not operating the Contest, and is not responsible for the judging decisions or fulfillment of any prizes. The last date of submissions is 30th September, 2022.

How to Enter NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest?

A. No purchase is necessary to enter this Contest. To enter the .NYC Best of Boroughs Contest, you may submit your entry to the Sponsor electronically at the below listed website.

B. Entries must be submitted after 12:01 a.m. on September 16, 2022 and before 11:59 p.m. on September 30, 2022. Electronic submissions will be deemed submitted at the time received. The inclusion of any false, deceptive, and/or obscene images or words in an entry will render the entry ineligible. All entries that are incomplete, illegible, damaged, irregular, have been submitted through illicit means, or do not conform to or satisfy any condition of these rules and regulations shall be disqualified.
C. Up to three (3) different entries per entrant are allowed but each entry must be for a unique web address at .nyc with unique website content to be eligible for consideration. An entrant with multiple entries that are ineligible entries submitted subsequent to the first three eligible entries will be disqualified.
D. If, for any reason, the internet entry portion of the Contest is not capable of operating as planned, including, without limitation, malfunction of any telephone networks, lines, and/or computer online systems, Sponsor will not be liable for any damages resulting from such events.

Eligibility

1. NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest is open only to .nyc registrants with a valid .nyc web address in use prior to 09/15/2020 at 11:59 PM EST.
2. Employees of Sponsors, the City of New York, the judges or any of their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, or any other company or individual involved with the design, production execution or distribution of the Contest or the immediate family (spouse, parents and step-parents, sibling and step-siblings, and children and stepchildren) or household member(s) (people who share the same residence at least three (3) months out of the year) of each such employee, are not eligible to participate.

Prizes of NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest

** The goal of NYC Best Of Boroughs Contest is to celebrate the use of the .nyc web address, and inspire local discovery of people, non-profits, companies and others using the .nyc domain.
** The winner from each of the five boroughs will be received a $5,000 cash prize and be featured in future marketing efforts for .nyc.

** $5,000 cash prize will be awarded to the winner of each borough.
** There will be 5 winners total with one dedicated winner per borough.
** Feature in .nyc marketing campaign highlighting your business.
** Official Best of the Boroughs award, reinforcing your business as best of its borough as decided by the community and local borough representatives.

Winner Selection of Best Of Boroughs Contest

The Winner Selection of Best Of Boroughs Contest are given below,
On October 14, 2022, upon initial review of the applications by the Sponsor, a notification will be sent to the five finalists in each borough at the email address provided by the entrant, notifying each of advancement to the Phase II judging stage and requesting authorization and approval for potential promotional use of the website and identity of the entrant in various campaigns and initiatives by the .nyc TLD. The five final winners, one from each borough, will be announced to the public on October 28, 2022.
