Position Summary:

Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
** Oversee day-to-day Logistics and Transportation activities of assigned team using SalesForce, Mercury Gate, and AX to manage workflow.
** Hire, train and retain the talents that will embody the Exemplis culture and values
** Create and manage shifts and schedules of the team to support customer and carrier needs
** Supervise team of Transportation Coordinators who are responsible for all Transportation related administrative activities including general freight inquiries, carrier track and trace, pre-ship order Expedites, White Glove deliveries and other routing change requests, post-ship order routing change requests, in-transit distressed shipment resolution, freight claims processing, etc.
** Coach team members based on daily/weekly/monthly metrics to monitor team and individual performance. Take full ownership of team’s responsibilities.
** Recognize, reward and celebrate the success and accomplishment of team members
** Implement Performance Improvement Plans/disciplinary actions as needed
** Personally, identify recurring issues, determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and oversee critical projects to ensure successful transportation and delivery
** In partnership with Logistics Leadership, support project implementation, change management, continuous improvement, and quality assurance.
** Provide insight to Logistics Leadership based on customers’ and carriers’ feedback.
** Work cross functionally to provide the best customer experience.
Qualifications, Skills and Education:
Required Qualifications:
** High School Diploma or GED
** 3+ years of Lead or Supervisor experience with oversight of a team
** 3+ years of experience in a Transportation/Logistics Service environment with proven track record of high performance
Preferred Qualifications:
** Bachelor’s degree
** Experience in Transportation industry and Understanding of Domestic freight carrier networks and capabilities
** Experience with or understanding of SalesForce CRM Microsoft AX and TMS (Mercury Gate)
** Experience leading a team with remote operations
** Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
